The 40V max XGT® Barrel Grip Jig Saw (GVJ01) combines precision and power with the efficiency of a brushless motor in a compact design. The Barrel Grip Jig Saw is engineered to deliver the power and performance of a corded jig saw but without the hassles of a cord. It is ideal for professional woodworkers, cabinetry makers, specialized residential construction workers and any pro-contractor seeking a best-in-class cordless jig saw. The GVJ01 features an ergonomically designed barrel grip, which allows closer-to-work control and more precise cuts.

The GVJ01 has 3 orbital settings plus straight cutting for faster and more accurate cuts in a variety of materials. The variable 6-speed control dial (800-3,500 SPM) enables the user to match the speed of the tool to the application. In addition, the efficient brushless motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for up to 50% longer run time per charge than similar non-brushless tools. Electronic controls efficiently use battery energy to match the changing demands of the application for increased power and speed when needed. And since there are no carbon brushes, the brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life.

The Barrel Grip Jig Saw features improved stability during cutting due to a wider base plate. It features Dual ambidextrous On/Off buttons with separate lock button for work piece protection. It features a built-in dust blower that clears the line of cut for increased accuracy. The GVJ01 is engineered with a no-load speed reduction feature with disabling mode that automatically reduces SPM for more accurate cutting starts.

Convenience features include a “tool-less” blade change system that allows for faster blade installation and removal, a base that bevels and locks from 0° to 45° left or right for more precise bevel cuts, and a L.E.D. light with light reduction function to reduce glare when tool is being used upside down. It also features a rubberized soft grip handle that provides increased comfort on the job. It weighs only 5.8 lbs. with a 40V XGT® 2.5 Ah battery (sold separately).
